OUR PHILOSOPHY
Avenelle Canterbury was started by Marianne and Edward, a husband and wife from Kent who were fed up with shopping for themselves. Marianne spent years in retail buying and knew exactly how a garment should hang. Edward simply refused to buy another shirt that felt like cardboard after two washes.
So they began choosing pieces the way they'd choose for a friend: honest fabrics, cuts that skim rather than cling, and a price that doesn't make you wince. Everything we sell passes the same test it always has — would we wear this ourselves, on an ordinary Tuesday?
